Love Is In The Air

Posted on Updated on

Moving forward from pondering the reasons for it all, and pausing only to say, that things probably happen to pave the way for other things to happen. I forgot to mention all the good guys, and the beautiful things yesterday. Just lately I have met quite a few of them. New cyber buddies.

The thing about online friends, is that we don’t often get to meet them face to face, especially if they live halfway across the globe. In some instances this is probably a good thing. I’m sure there are some very dodgy people out there. In fact though, I’ve only come across one really nasty person on facebook, and that was quite a while ago, but it didn’t faze me too much. He was gone in a flash. Most people are nice, and the couple of really good friends that I’ve made now, I would love to meet some day. If that is not to be, it will be fine too. All of us scribblers spend most of our days in front of our computers anyway, so I get to spend a lot more time with them than anyone in my “real” world.

The point is that these friends are no less friends than those that are with us in the flesh. In a few cases they are more. That mysterious spark that resonates when you first meet someone, and you just know that you will always like them, doesn’t seem to be restricted in any way by the miles that separate you. So, thanks for being the cool people that you are, and love to all my friends, old and new, that lurk in my computer. I’m very happy that you’re there. And no – I haven’t been at the cooking sherry! How dare you!

It was a bit of red Muscadel actually, with two lovely friends in the flesh, Di and Joe, who gave us the also lovely gifts of our two turkeys, their almost namesakes, Jack and Diane. Diane has now laid an egg in the yard, and has of this afternoon, parked her elegant bottom on it. The look in her eye doesn’t give me the impression that she has any intention of getting off it either, so when night time comes, she will probably add to my collection of bird inflicted injuries, when she will have to be picked up and carried to bed. For now I’m off to my lovely Lapillus.

Till next time friends. xxxxx

So, Love is on cyber air. I agree. I enjoy more the communication I have on Facebook – individuals and groups, Twitter, and other sites. Mostly, I love the new author friends I have met because I read their books and reviewed them on my blog http://www.conniesbrother.blogspot.com . Now, our conversations are constant. I agree with you “Love is in the air on cyber space.”

First of all: I enjoyed reading your blog very much 🙂 And then, yes, you’re absolutely right! Nearly every day I’m impressed by the new, nice and kind people I’m getting to know on Twitter 🙂 The WWW makes it a small world and links us together. Don’t you think we’re a happy little family in Twitter Land? 😉 And there’s something else I believe: some day in the future I’m going to meet my dearest followers in ‘real life’ – sure about that! 🙂

A new friend! Thank you very much! 🙂 I agree – twitter is a lovely place to be. It wouldn’t be possible to meet so many great people without it, and it would be fantastic indeed if we could meet them all. I like your attitude – lovely!

I hope you mean the feathered variety Mr Day. I do not swing the other way. I’m glad you joined my love fest though. xx to you!
