Techno Granny

Posted on Updated on

This is going to be an unusually short post because I’m officially knackered. The crappy covers on my short stories have been niggling away at me ever since my previous post, so I decided to just fix them. I’ve tidied up Fly Birdie, although I haven’t changed the actual cover. That story will always be special to me and I don’t want to change it too much. I’ve given The Visitation a brand new cover because the old one was just awful in every way. I’ve loaded them on to Amazon, but the new ones will only go live later today sometime.

Second reason for the knackerdness is that I’ve added a book links page on this site. Wow. I’m not sure if I’ve got every one of Amazon’s international sites included there yet, but I think I’ve earned me a sit down with a drop of vino and a large slab of chocolate. Wonderful B grade movie in my sights for today. I’ve also made some 3D book images to go on that page. I found a nice online site to make these for free here. If you don’t feel like opening the books tab above, they look like this.

Jo What a beautiful cover for Shadow People! But what a waste of time to do all those Amazon links when you could have come to me to create you geo targetting international links. One link for all amazon stores which will zoom the clicker to the store in his or her region.
    XXX
Will send them you through mail

Aaaaargh! I’m going to need extra wine to get over that – it took HOURS. LOLOL! I should have thought to ask you – you’ve got all the techno savvy in the world. Thank you for sending it to me my lovely Lucy! Would you also tell me how to make those excerpt thingys please? They’re really cool. 🙂 XXXXX

Thank you Kev! Shadow People’s gorgeous cover is down to our much loved Story Reading Ape though. 🙂 Thank you some more, and some more. 🙂 Miedo’s cover looks great now – I must update it on my Kindle – I’m looking forward to reading all of your books lurking there very soon too. Have you got a book of poems or lyrics out? I’d love that.

Cool Kev! I’ll download the ebook, but I want to get yours and a few others for my paper collection – going down a list a couple at a time to avoid divorce for my book buying mania. 😀

LOLOLOL! I’ve been posting typos in blog comments today too – it’s really odd because they only seem to appear after posting. It’s a WordPress gremlin – not us at all – the cove! 😀

Cool Chris! It would be really nice if it was straight – it’s a bit hard on the eye bent to the right like that, and I have no clue how to do that. 😀

LOL Jo, that’s part of the 3D effect, if you straighten the book it would look wider at the bottom than the top, unless you were looking DOWN on it, then it would be back to looking 2D capiche? 😀

Since we’re talking about typos, can’t we clarify word choices?

When I hear the word “slab” I think of altars, which in the case of chocolate makes a lot of sense . . . did you have a pagan ceremony to along with your sweet indulgence? Did it involve the moon and shadows? Please say yes! 🙂

OK – now all I can think of is being parked on an altar of chocolate! LOL! The moon and shadows… yes! They would hide my munching of the altar. 😀 I really can’t wait for your next book Mr Grodecki – only you can make chocolate altars pop out of my screen so realistically. Now… how about a pool with a champers waterfall? 😀

How decadent . . . and you are not supposed to munch on the altar, only lay there patiently…how else can you be deemed worthy of champagne dripping upon those toes and then elsewhere?

And who knows, if you ever manage to find that patience, and close your eyes, perhaps someone will anoint you with a little tea and honey some day? 😉
