As many as three million Americans may have T1D. Diabetes currently affects more than 371 million people worldwide and is expected to affect 552 million by 2030. The frightening thing about the above statement is that apart from the 1.9 million people who will be diagnosed with diabetes Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes this year there will be millions more who will ignore the symptoms and remain undiagnosed and untreated. This will lead to health complications and probably chronic and fatal diseases.
