I’m Going to Doodle You

Posted on

I’m just going to be visiting around and about catching up with you guys online tomorrow – maybe a bit of sharing, so for those of you with muses as sweet as mine, I’ll leave you with two doodles of the sometimes outrageous ways she treats me. She generally wears all leather, and I’m pretty sure only changed because she knew I had pics in mind. She’s clever like that. Are you stuck? Staring at a blank screen. Just be grateful that you don’t also get lashings of hot cigar ash in your ear all day, and spilled absinthe garlic champagne cocktails spilled down your cleavage. OK. That’s a guy in the pic. I’m trying not to be sexist, and I do have much nicer boobs and taste in shirts. Sorry guys.

Then – just when I’ve been awake for three days straight for all sorts of really stupid reasons, and I lay my weary head upon my pillow, sigh as the sleepy softness envelopes me, and begin to drift off, she gets some super cool ideas, and it’s time to SHARE WITH ME BABY! Still. Got to love her.

Thanks Sal! I’m seriously sleep deprived these days, so a snoozle or three would be great. I actually made a garlic martini when I wrote about it in African Me. It really is utterly revolting! Not even I would be brave enough to really add absinthe – reckon that combination would probably blow stuff up. HUGS! ❤ XX

Thank you Sarah! I find them stashed all over the place. One day I’ll get them together and tidy them up properly. HUGS! 🙂

No wonder you can’t sleep! Are those cigars in her hat? I would tell this little lady that her boots are made for walking, and she should walk right off your shoulder……

Thank you! Actually it’s me who has a thing for striped socks – I’ve got piles of fabulously clashing combinations for winter behind the computer. Purple and orange with stars are my favourites. 😀

    Hello Jo,

Did YOU do those Doodles?? They are fabulous! And thanks fro stopping by my recovery blog again. XO I really appreciate the kind words. It is sad, but it seems many are becoming more aware of others they care about have a gambling problem. Even in my husbands side of the family.

Mine was a full blown addiction. Now looking back in my 8 1/2 years in recovery, my life goal and purpose is to raise awareness about this devastating illness. Plus, being dual diagnosed with mental health challenges as well, can make even harder to recover. But If I can? Than I know others can too! “-)

Your words and your support means so much. Did you know I am a author and book promoter too?
Stop my little “business blog” https://anAuthorandWriterinProgress.wordpress.com
You might just find something good to read. LOL.

    Blessings,
    Author, Cat Lyon XO 🙂

Thank you Catherine! I’ve been getting back into a bit of drawing after decades of not doing it, so rusty much, and the doodles tend to happen by themselves – got some doozies that Freud would probably have a field day with. 😀 I reckon that we humans have got to a point of so much stress, pressure, and pain just in general day to day life and growing up taking on our parents issues too, that mental issues, addictions and pain are pretty prevalent, rather than being overly different. It’s great that people like yourself are giving of yourselves and your time to help others in need. I suppose that most of us have our own addictions, and addiction is addiction at the end of the day, no matter what the thing that we think we must have is. I shall zoom over to your business blog right now. Many HUGS to you! ❤ X

Thank you Olga! I’m in the throes of illustrating something for another author, and having loads of terror and doubt in me actually getting this right, so bin is overflowing and a lot less hair on top. HUGS! ❤ XX

What a fun treat. My muse isn’t quite so adorable, even with the cigar. You’re inspiring.

Thank you Diana! Some scribblers think that having a muse is silly, but mine could be some sort of tiny poltergeist, because I’m pretty sure that I’ve felt her bouncing on my fingers as I type with her stilettos. Wish I had her courage though – this town would never be the same after seeing this geriatric in top to toe leather. Still,………. HUGS! ❤ XX

Me too love the boots! Never had a pair of thigh highs though do have rather a cool collection to go absolutely nowhere in. 😀 Did you ever see my hitting a happy medium doodle? Poor medium turned into a kangaroo and I never figured out why till I realised that you were my only medium friend. I would never belt YOU with a frying pan though! HUGS and MWAHS! ❤ XXXX

I have to say again, I love thigh high boots. 🙂 Moving along, that many shoes eh and nowhere to go? Sad indeed. No, I didn’t see that doodle, send a link. I can imagine a Roo doing a tarot reading, taking the cards from her pouch. 🙂 I’ve been hit with a frying pan Jo, god it hurts. 🙂
