Possibly Cool Freebie and Tail Feathers
I’m having problems with WordPress now. I’m not getting notifications of all the comments, so I’m having to go back over each post to find any I’ve missed until I can sort it out. I promise I would never intentionally ignore a comment, so please forgive me if I haven’t answered any yet. Life has been so busy these last couple of weeks, I’ve only had a couple of minutes at a time at my computer, and I’ve missed out on a lot around and about my lovely interweb. All of this physical activity and lack of sweets is all very good for the bod, but I’m having terrible research and writing withdrawal symptoms.
One possibly good thing I spotted trawling through this morning is a bookish freebie to download from the Giveaway of the Day site. I’ve downloaded it already because these things only last for twenty four hours, but I haven’t fiddled with it yet so I can’t say whether it’s any good or not. It looks like it could be a very useful reader/scribblers tool though, so have a look at All My Books and see if you fancy it.
Now I’d better get back to seeing what I’ve done wrong with WordPress again. I still haven’t figured out who hoiked Jelly’s tail feathers out, although it really doesn’t bother him at all.
He’s the only little guy around here that pulls tails and bounces on heads, so it must have been retribution. Beanie usually just squishes his beak a bit with her foot when he gets too far in her face, so I doubt that it was her.
Button just generally cruises around doing his own thing – so I can’t see him doing it.
Jelly being Jelly maybe just fancied a new look – or could be his little bum got hot from eating too many chillies. Anyway – they’re all still buddies and zooming around.

If you go to your WordPress Dashboard, you can get the comments in newest to oldest order under the comments section. Easier than go from post to post and you can reply from there. Hope you get it fixed up soon.

I’ll try that! Thanks Charles. There’s funny things going on though – I’m sure some sites have updated things – I know I need to get stuck into Twitter too, because the settings there have changed & you have to check what email notifications you want to get again. I found hundreds of retweets on my site that I never got notifications for lately. If you don’t request that you get told of all mentions, you get some sort of tailored thing, that I don’t understand at all.

Didn’t know that about Twitter. Might have to check that out now. I check the Notifications section all the time, but now I wonder if it catches everything.

It doesn’t catch anything for me at the moment – I’m amazed that people are still retweeting mine, because there are hundreds lurking in the interactions there that I had now clue about. 😦 Really going to have to jump around now.

Honestly I’m not sure if anything is working lately. Summer seems to be abysmal.

I must agree – these last few months have been strangely challenging. Maybe in the stars – the Mercury retrogade. 😀 😉

Thank you! I’m not sure what’s going on with it – some friends have also said that they can’t connect to my blog from the gravatar thing anymore as well. Not good techie stuff. 😀

I’ve had WordPress problems this week too. Things like one visitor from seven different countries. He sure moves fast, whoever he is.

Ha haaaa! Maybe he’s from Zimbabwe. When we lived up there we had to get our internet from Kenya, and my blogging friends said that I used to pop up in Hawai and all over the place too. I love those kinds of gremlins though – you have to smile. 🙂

WordPress goes a bit wonky on me sometimes but it tends to sort itself out. As for birds eating chillies, I hope they’ve got a decent bird-bath somewhere

I’ve been looking at all the settings and I can’t find anything wrong so far, so I’ll just hold thumbs and carry on. 😀 I think that chillies don’t have the same effect on birds as they do on us – they love them more than anything. Up in Zim I had hundreds of different chilli plants, and the wild birds used to munch half of them up too. 😀

It seems to be that lots of people are having problems now with WordPress Juan – I always follow all my blogs by email. It can scare you off your chair sometimes, but at least I always know that I won’t miss out on posts from the guys I like to follow. 😀

I know…frustrating, isn’t it? I still cannot put any pictures on my WP blog. Don’t know if it is me or the site, but it was working fine, now it doesn’t work at all. …Hope you get your comments part to work again soon! Oh, your cute little bird and his tail feathers! Glad it doesn’t bother him…and they will probably grow back! 🙂

It’s funny how all the sites seem to be playing up at the same time now Louisa. I’m still not getting any notifications, and my Twitter looks like its about to blow up. 😀 Do you load your posts in Text? Maybe that way you can get to upload your pics – or maybe try loading them first into your media library. This is probably my own fault though – I’m always pushing wrong buttons and getting not so bright ideas. He’s a funny little guy Jelly – he almost died when I first got him & he’s always been spoiled rotten, so he’s a little tyrant sometimes – I’m just relieved it was just feathers he lost – he’s got some new ones poking out now, so lots of itching and scratching going on. 😀

Your birdies are so, so pretty and sweet! My daughter would be very jealous. She wants a peach-faced lovebird! Instead, she has just got herself an African Land Snail, haha 😉 Will have to blog about that methinks! Hope you get your WP probs with comments sorted. I think something funny is going on again. Those darn gremlins 😦
Hugs to you my gorgeous 🙂 ❤ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ha haaaaa! I’ve never heard of those guys being pets 😀 They can do some serious damage to a lettuce patch though. What does it do? Can’t wait for that blog, that’s for sure! There’s something really not cool going on on some of the sites – Twitter’s my biggest worry, because no Charles has let me know how to see the comments here without notifications, but that interaction feed on Twitter is really hard work to keep up with. Might head over to Hootesuite to catch up there. MWAH! HUGS! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ❤
