Dragon Oops

Posted on

I’ve been fiddling with my dragon on and off for ages, although I never have much time to spend on him. Today I was fiddling around with some illustrations I’m doing for someone, and all of a sudden I spot this pic of stars in my public domain collection. So I zoom across to my dragon pic – that’s a LOT different from the real paper one after a couple of hours of tweaking on the computer, and just pop it on there for fun. OOPS – hit the save button, and fiddled with dragon is no more. So.

I’ll be using this one for my Twitter account anyway until I can find some time to start fiddling again with the scanned guy. Talk about seeing stars! Bah!

Half finished Twilight dragon :). ๐Ÿ˜€ Thanks Charles – I want to get a lot more shading and depth in the hornage, and the wings are far from done. I don’t see me finding time to finish it properly for ages though – so Sparkly will be my Twitter guy for now anyway.

I’m way too impatient for my own good – I bounce around rather than sit still and work on one thing at a time. Distractions are my nemesis. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Chris – you are always lovely and kind. I reckon if you ever say, “That sucks! Take it down!”, I’d still think you were the coolest. ๐Ÿ˜€

So fascinating…I’ve been encountering Dragons everywhere I turn. Clearly some message for me there. Love this image with the stars! Can you share what it suggests, or what significance it has, to you?

It is a funny thing that we have coincidences on both of our blogs Cnawan. The universe having a little joke maybe? I have dragons in my book series – Shadow People, and I want to get a visual image of how I see them. Then, because the story takes place on other worlds and dimensions mostly, I wanted to see if stars overlayed would look good – it’s really growing on me now. ๐Ÿ™‚

Jo, after reading your replies on our two blogs I looked at your books page and the “Shadow People” book cover… Earlier on my walk this morning I found the ELEVENTH Little Library in my neighborhood. What stood out to me about this one was that it held a couple of books with the word Shadow in their titles. I just dashed back there to check if your book was one of them, but no. But it haunts me ~ I swear I have seen your book in one of these libraries. Nonetheless, I’m going to count our exchanges about dragons and now these books titles as a synchronicity pointing towards your book. I will make a point of reading it. Looking forward to it!

I always smile when life pushes me around firmly, because it generally turns out well. I often find when something is worrying or puzzling me, I’ll start looking through the blogs I follow, and oddly quite a few will have just what I need to know all at the same time. My Shadow People is probably a bit odd – I think it’s created its own genre too – metaphysical sci-fi horror. ๐Ÿ˜€ Another connection – I’ve just uploaded a brighter version of the cover on to Amazon today, and it won’t have gone live yet. If you would like a squiz at it, pop your email address to me in the Contact Me thing above, and I’d be more than happy to send you over a mobi copy. ๐Ÿ™‚
